Concentration Camp at Dachau

Walking into the camp

Dachau was the first concentration camp in Nazi Germany and was open from 1933 until it was liberated in 1945. These pictures cannot express the feelings and thoughts we had in walking through an area where 206,000 prisoners were registered and at least 31,000 people died.

In 1960 a provisional museum was opened.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.
